Gaelcon Needs Heroes, or at the very least enthusiastic people who are willing to check tickets, carry boxes, teach games and look like they’re having a good time.

The Irish Games Association hosts Ireland’s oldest independent gaming convention, Gaelcon. In 2025, it takes place from October 24th – 27th. Gaelcon 37 takes place at Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport, Northwood Park, Santry Demesne, Dublin 9, Ireland.

So before you sign up, make sure you’re free. We will also have some online meetings on Discord in advance to do training, introduce you to other volunteers and so on.

Being a Staffer for Gaelcon comes with some perks, like a free Gaelcon T-Shirt, free tickets to games, and if you’re staffing most of the weekend (4×4 hour slots), free entry into the con.

The earlier you contact us the better, and this call for volunteers will close by September 30th at latest. Your selection as a volunteer will depend on the number of applications and you will be contacted by us as soon as possible after the application to confirm this.
