In order to make the best of Gaelcon 2025, we have been reviewing some of the successes and some of the feedback we got from the convention last year. Don’t worry, we hope to have even more improvements for this year but in the meantime we thought we would share the highlights of board games last year.

The event hosted 530 unique attendees and had an attendance of 670 over 4 days in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dublin Airport. It was a success to see an increase in attendance from 2023 which had 422 unique attendees.
219 players prebooked in 55 scheduled games and nearly half the table space was available for free-play games. This is a great growth from 47 games and 140 players prebooked in 2023 and 37 games and 100 players prebooked in 2022.

To appeal to the widest variety of attendees, from the newest gamer on the scene to the most committed ones, we ran games ranging in length from 15 minutes long to 12 hours long.

We need to thank our sponsors GMT Games who provided prize games for us to give away each day in a raffle among all participants of the board games area. We also need to thank Dublin Gaymers who provided staff and games, plus DU Gamers for help with the games library and finally all our volunteers and game facilitators.
