So, the venue is booked, we’ve got leadership (all hail Tymora!), RPGs, boardgames and many more posts sorted. But there are still some Gaelcon roles we would love to have new volunteers for:
Gaelcon booklet designer: this is mainly done in September/October, you should have some design/layout experience, ideally in print. If you are interested or know anyone who might be is interested, please reach out to us through email or social media.
If you are interested in helping to organise Gaelcon during 2025, but feel you need some time time to get familiar with the team and our setup, then we have a bunch of roles where you can shadow or assist the main person this year and then perhaps take on a full role in a future year. For example shadow/assistant for: logistics, special guests, Con Director or PR/communications/social media. Please reach out to us through email or social media and we are happy to chat.
The basic ask for all of these roles is to attend a monthly online meeting for April-August and to take on some planning or preparation tasks.
At the IGA level, we are also looking for a new Charity Officer, to help us raise (and look after) all that cash for kids. Please contact the IGA Secretary if you are interested in this role.
In the future we will put out calls for staff, scenario authors, GMs and special event or boardgame facilitators. This post is for people who will work with the team during the year to make sure we have an excellent Gaelcon 37 in 2025.
